Why we have to use Alcohol concentration of 70%?

An alcohol concentration of 70% does not evaporate too quickly and contain adequate water in order to facilitate the antimicrobial activity and denature the microorganisms’ cells. Whereas 95% – 100% alcohol evaporates very quickly and does not contain adequate water for the alcohol to be absorbed into the microorganisms’ cell membranes. This will only cause the dehydration of the cell without killing the microorganism. Alcohol with a concentration less than 50% was also found to be less effective in killing microorganisms1

How long does the protection of SCION Hand Sanitizer Gel last?

SCION Hand Sanitizer Gel can reduce up to 99.999% of bacteria2 on contact. However, it does not protect your skin from ongoing reinfection over time. For this reason, we recommend that you reapply it whenever you want your hands to be clean such as before eating, or after using the restroom.
